Jeffrey Lawrence (Salt Lake City, 1983) is associate professor of English at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, where he teaches twentieth and twenty-first century US and Latin American literature. He is the author of Anxieties of Experience: The Literatures of the Americas from Whitman to Bolaño (Oxford, 2018) and the translator of Andrés Neuman’s How to Travel Without Seeing: Dispatches from the New Latin America (Restless Books, 2016) and Sergio Chejfec’s Forgotten Manuscript (Charco Press, 2023). He is a founding member of the Grupo de Estudios Sobre Editoriales Independientes (GESEI) and an editor at the online magazine El Roommate: Colectivo de Lectores.
