Mario Michelena is a Peruvian writer born in Lima in 1971. He studied Literature at the PUC and Master and Doctorate courses in the United States. For more than 10 years he has been working as an interpreter in the Federal Court of Brooklyn (New York). That work was the source of inspiration for his novel The rounded corners, published by the Peruvian label Estruendomudo in 2015. In addition to his work at the Brooklyn Court, he has been a boxing interpreter for the HBO network. He is a fan of the New York City Football Club soccer team. Michelena is married to a Uruguayan teacher, has 2 children, and lives in Brooklyn.
