Lindsay Griffiths graduated in English Literature and Spanish Translation from Hunter College, CUNY,  where he was a member of the National Hispanic Honorary Society Sigma Delta Pi. It was also in Hunter that he met his mentor Adrián Izquierdo, who introduced him to Chatos. Lindsay continues to develop as a translator while studying for a PhD in the English department at Princeton University and learning Portuguese. His research focuses on the Afro-American and Afro-Latin literatures of the 19th and 20th centuries. Lindsay also likes to write stories and songs.
